Lebanese Minister Fayez Rasamni condemned attacks on Saudi airports, affirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom, and announced continued MEA flights to Saudi Arabia under daily risk assessment.

Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamni held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority Captain Mohammed Aziz, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of Middle East Airlines (MEA) Mohammed El-Hout. The meeting was attended by members of the Risk Assessment Committee at MEA and the Civil Aviation Authority, in light of the condemned attacks targeting civilian airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Rasamni opened the meeting by condemning the brutal attacks on the airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming Lebanon's complete solidarity with the sister Kingdom, its leadership and people, and standing alongside it in protecting its security and the safety of its citizens and residents. He extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Saudi aviation community.
The attendees then discussed the impact of the aforementioned attacks on air operations. It was decided, based on the risk assessment and monitoring of measures taken by Saudi civil aviation authorities in managing their airspace, that Middle East Airlines flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue, accompanied by daily and ongoing risk assessments and the adoption of appropriate measures as needed.
