The Reconstruction and Development Council clarified that no ministry or institution has consulted it regarding the transfer of chemical materials to Bserri Marsh, emphasizing its ownership of the site and calling for immediate action to address the issue.

The Reconstruction and Development Council issued a statement in response to media and social media reports about the transfer of chemical materials to Bserri Marsh, affirming that "neither any ministry nor relevant institution has consulted it on this matter, sought its approval, or even informed it about the action."
The Council clarified that "the location where these materials were placed falls within lands expropriated by it, and possession orders have been issued regarding them; therefore, ownership of the site belongs to the Reconstruction and Development Council."
It called on "relevant ministries and institutions to take immediate necessary measures to address the issue in accordance with established legal procedures."
It reaffirmed "the joint statement between the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture regarding the necessity for the Lebanese Electricity Authority to recover these materials and process them according to proper procedures."
