Salam Affirms Stability Requires Armed Forces' Presence Across Lebanon

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote on the "Axios" platform: "One army for one people in one homeland. On its anniversary, we renew our pride in our national army and extend the greatest salute to it and its righteous martyrs. It remains the primary symbol of our independence."

He added, "There can be no restoration of our sovereignty, no stability for our homeland, and no security for our children except through the deployment of our armed forces across all our lands and the extension of state authority from Naqoura to Arida."

Salam also affirmed, "The government is determined to strengthen the army's capabilities by increasing its numbers, equipping it, and improving its conditions to defend Lebanon and protect its people."
