Salam: Our People in the South Have the Right to Live Safely in Their Villages
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed condolences for three victims of Israeli attacks and affirmed that residents of southern Lebanon have the right to live safely in their villages.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued the following statement:
"I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the three martyrs: Engineer Hussein Ali Ramadan, who was killed in the village of Froun; retired First Sergeant Ali Abdel Hassan Sweidan of the Lebanese Army, who was killed in the village of Yatar due to a direct Israeli targeting; and Internal Security Forces Sergeant Edgar Jilo, who was killed in the village of Ain Ebel following the explosion of an unexploded ordnance from Israeli aggression while he was working in agricultural land.
Our people in the south have the right to live safely in their villages, to visit their lands, and to harvest olives without fear for their lives. However, ongoing Israeli aggressions and war remnants continue to threaten their lives and deprive them of their most basic rights.
The protection of our people, securing their safe return to their villages and lands, and removing war remnants remain at the core of our government's priorities. We continue our efforts to achieve a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the extension of state authority over all its lands, ensuring that our people can live with safety and dignity on their own soil."
