Salim Meets Al-Zaidi in New York to Discuss Bilateral Relations and Joint Projects

Prime Minister Nour al-Salam met with his Iraqi counterpart Ali al-Zaidi in New York, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, in the presence of Foreign Minister Youssef Raji and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, recent developments in the region, and followed up on the results of Salim’s visit to Baghdad last July, particularly joint projects in energy, transportation, and regional connectivity.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to strengthening state authority and institutions and advancing the path of confining arms to state control, considering it a cornerstone for safeguarding sovereignty and consolidating stability, given the shared challenges facing Lebanon and Iraq.
