Salim Meets Contract Faculty at Lebanese University Over Leave File
Prime Minister Najib Salim met with a delegation of contract faculty from the Lebanese University to discuss implementing a February 17 decision mandating faculty leave, as the first batch is set to join on September 1.

Prime Minister Najib Salim received a delegation of contract faculty from the Lebanese University, led by Dr. Mustafa Ragheb, including Drs. Mansour Tawq, Wael al-Sufi, Kamel al-Ashqar, Hisham al-Falou, Ali Awad, Muhammad Shakra, Claire Fakhreddine, Rafiq Marhaj, Rola Yousef, Fadi Othman, and Suhail Tawq.
Ragheb said after the meeting: "We, the contract faculty members of the Lebanese University, discussed with President Najib Salim the implementation of the decision issued on February 17, which mandates faculty leave. This is particularly urgent as the first batch will join on September 1, and we are now approaching this date, yet no decree has been issued specifying the names of faculty members included in the first and second batches. For this reason, we came to meet with the President, who promised to raise the file at a Council of Ministers session scheduled for either September 3 or September 10."
