Security Forces Arrest Suspect Forging Property Documents for Sale
Lebanese Internal Security Forces apprehended two individuals involved in forging property ownership documents to sell real estate in Jbeil.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) - Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
As part of the ongoing efforts by the ISF to combat various crimes, particularly forgery offenses across Lebanon, and to apprehend those responsible, the Information Branch received intelligence regarding an unidentified individual forging real estate documents to sell a property in the Halat area of Jbeil.
Following investigations and inquiries, authorities arrested the individual who was processing a property ownership transfer request at the land registry offices. The forged document was found in his possession. He is identified as Sh. H., born in 1987, Lebanese.
During interrogation, Sh. H. stated that he was a victim of fraud by a person named J. G., born in 1982, Lebanese, who has a prior record of forgery crimes.
Further investigation revealed that the property deed had been forged by using a fake identity in the name of the property owner. Initially, ownership was transferred to J. G., then to Sh. H., despite the fact that the property owner had not sold the property. After careful surveillance, an ISF patrol arrested J. G. in Jbeil while he was driving his car, which was seized.
Upon searching J. G. and his vehicle, a sum of money was confiscated.
During questioning, J. G. admitted to, along with an accomplice with a history of forgery and fraud offenses, forging the property owner's identity and the ownership deed without her knowledge, then selling the property to Sh. H. When Sh. H. attempted to register the property at the land registry, it was discovered that the deed was invalid.
Legal procedures were carried out against J. G., and he was detained along with the seized items and referred to the relevant authorities based on instructions from the competent judiciary. Efforts continue to arrest his partner.
