Security Forces Record Over 55,000 Traffic Violations in One Month
Lebanese Internal Security Forces reported over 55,000 traffic violations between September 7 and October 6, 2026, including speeding and illegal driving.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces announced the continuation of its campaign to monitor traffic violations, based on a decision by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, as part of measures aimed at reducing road accidents and enhancing traffic safety.
It clarified that its units recorded a total of 55,881 traffic violations between September 7 and October 6, 2026. The most prominent violations included excessive speed, driving without license plates, failure to wear seatbelts, and using mobile phones while driving.
The campaign also resulted in the impoundment of 1,906 violating cars and 4,562 illegal motorcycles.
