Smotrich Declares Lebanon War Threatens Northern Israel's Security
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich warns that the conflict in Lebanon directly impacts northern Israel's security and stresses the need to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated on his X account that the agreement with Iran is detrimental to both Israel and the entire free world. He emphasized that this is a settled matter and highlighted the achievements of the joint campaign in weakening Iran, asserting that these gains will not be wasted. Smotrich stressed the necessity to continue efforts to overthrow the regime through innovative methods and to ensure that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons.
He further remarked that none of the candidates who consider themselves qualified to lead the government can withstand even ten percent of the current pressures exerted on the Israeli government, especially on its head.
Regarding Lebanon, Smotrich described the situation as a real test, calling it Israel’s war and identifying the fighters involved. He pointed out that the matter concerns the direct security of northern Israel's residents and pledged to continue advocating for maintaining their positions and granting the Israeli army full freedom to act in order to keep Hezbollah at bay.
