Syria’s General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs has closed the Arida border crossing with Lebanon to passenger traffic for 15 days beginning August 6 due to technical work on the final span of the crossing’s bridge from the Lebanese side.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Syria’s General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs has ordered the closure of the Arida border crossing with Lebanon to passenger movement for a period of 15 days, effective August 6.
This suspension stems from the commencement of technical works on the last section of the crossing’s bridge located on Lebanese territory.
