UNIFIL Reports Most Violations in South Lebanon Originate from Israeli Side
UNIFIL spokesperson Candice Ardiel states that despite a relative decrease in violence, violations in South Lebanon predominantly come from Israel.

UNIFIL spokesperson Candice Ardiel told Sky News that tensions remain high in southern Lebanon despite what she described as a relative decline in violence levels.
She noted that most violations in the south are attributed to the Israeli side, with breaches continuing despite the relative reduction in escalation pace.
Ardiel expressed hope that the level of violence and violations could be reduced to zero to protect civilian safety.
She added that UNIFIL continues to assist residents of southern Lebanon despite the extensive destruction and significant challenges in the area.
The spokesperson emphasized the importance of supporting the extension and expansion of the international forces' mandate in the south.
She assessed that the situation in the region remains extremely fragile, with concerns about a possible resurgence of escalation at any moment.
