Unprecedented Escalation... Has Israel Begun Decisive Battle for Mount Ali al-Taher?

The Nabatieh region, especially the hills of Ali al-Taher and the areas surrounding the Dabsha site and Kfar Raman plain, has witnessed an unprecedented military escalation since the ceasefire came into effect about two months ago.

Israeli artillery continued targeting the hills of Nabatieh, while Apache helicopters entered the conflict, conducting intensive sweeping operations with heavy machine guns, particularly around the hills of Ali al-Taher. Warplanes also joined the attacks, supporting Israeli forces deployed along the Kfar Tabniit-Arnon-Ali al-Taher frontline, carrying out a series of violent airstrikes on Nabatieh al-Fawqa and the surrounding hills, extending as far as the town of Ansar, where a residential building was hit, resulting in at least six fatalities according to initial reports.

As shelling intensified, a wave of displacement was recorded among residents of Nabatieh city and nearby areas moving toward safer locations amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes and frequent aerial patrols.
