Urgent Call to Open More Displacement Centers!

Beqaa Governor Kamal Abu Jouda issued an urgent call to open more displacement centers in the Western Beqaa region, saying: "After the new Israeli army threats to the town of Sohmor and its people, and to a number of towns in the Western Beqaa, and the request to evacuate their towns, a crisis arose in finding additional centers for the displaced from the region's residents, especially centers located within the scope of the Western Beqaa, allowing the supervising authorities to follow up on displacement files and carry out their relief role towards the people."

He added: "For this reason, the region's activists and those following up on displacement files turned to the Beqaa Governor, the Western Beqaa District Commissioner, and the concerned municipalities, demanding a quick decision to open more schools and official centers in the Western Beqaa to receive the displaced, especially since many residents are unable to reach areas far from the Western Beqaa."
