U.S. Ambassador from the Fatwa House: United States stands with the Lebanese people and wants Lebanon to be a safe and independent country

U.S. Ambassador of the United States Michel Aoun confirmed after meeting with Grand Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdul-Latif Drayyan that "the United States is interested in standing alongside Lebanon and achieving its sovereignty, and our positions with the Grand Mufti are closely aligned."

He said: "I spoke with Grand Mufti Drayyan about Lebanon's future and the importance of coexistence, and I told him that the United States stands with the Lebanese people and wants Lebanon to be a safe and independent country."
