US Embassy Details Meetings of Admiral Cooper in Beirut
Admiral Brad Cooper and General Joseph Clairfield met with Lebanese leaders to discuss implementing the historic framework agreement signed in Washington on June 26, 2026.

The US Embassy in Beirut issued a statement regarding recent meetings: "Following the historic framework agreement signed in Washington, D.C., on June 26, 2026, Commander of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, and the head of the Lebanon Military Coordination Group, General Joseph Clairfield, met with President Joseph Aoun and Army Commander Brigadier General Rudolf Heikal."
During the discussions, participants addressed the upcoming steps and the official launch of the framework agreement's implementation. The aim is to rapidly and concretely build upon the momentum generated by this agreement.
The framework sets a practical path to resolve the current conflict and establishes a clear, organized process to restore Lebanon's sovereignty and disarm Hezbollah.
