US Military Delegation Begins Talks in Beirut

In this context, the French news agency "AFP" quoted a informed source as saying that the main focus of the US military delegation during its visit to Lebanon is to translate the "framework paper" into practical executive steps and to work on establishing the necessary mechanisms for its implementation on the ground.

This visit comes ahead of the new round of anticipated negotiations, amid diplomatic and military movements led by the United States to accelerate the implementation of understandings related to southern Lebanon and to prevent any field escalation that could hinder the course of the agreement.
