Veterinary Doctors Syndicate: 6 Illegal Practitioners Arrested, Non-Compliant Medicines and Equipment Seized
The Veterinary Doctors Syndicate announced the arrest of six illegal practitioners and the seizure of non-compliant medicines and equipment in North Lebanon.

Veterinary Doctors Syndicate Head Dr. Ihab Shaaban thanked, in a statement, the Commander of the Regional Security Forces in the North, Brigadier General Mustafa Badran, for "responding to the syndicate's call and instructing security forces to investigate facts and arrest anyone impersonating a veterinarian or practicing the profession illegally."
The statement noted that, "based on this, six illegal practitioners were arrested and referred to the competent judiciary, after the Agriculture Directorate in the North received 12 packages of seized medicines and equipment, which turned out not to meet the required conditions."
Shaaban affirmed "the continued follow-up and pursuit of these violations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, due to the harm caused by illegal practices to the work of veterinarians, as well as their repercussions on food safety and animal health, resulting from the use of smuggled medicines or the provision of incorrect treatments."
