Video: Man Swallowed 2kg of Cocaine and Smuggled It Through Airport

"As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to track down individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution, and within the framework of the security plan established by the Judicial Police Unit aimed at combating the drug epidemic and curbing its spread, information reached the Central Drug Unit about a Nigerian national smuggling cocaine into Lebanon via the airport by swallowing it in capsule form. The suspect had entered Lebanese territory on the morning of August 14, 2026.

Through intensive investigations and persistent inquiries conducted by the unit’s patrols, and as a result of gathering and analyzing intelligence, his location was identified inside a hotel in the Hamra district.

Orders were given to the unit’s patrols to closely monitor and follow him with the aim of arresting him.

On August 16, 2026, a team from the unit raided his accommodation and apprehended him in a surprise operation. It was revealed that he is named A.S. (born 1984, Nigerian nationality). Seventy-eight capsules containing cocaine were seized from his possession, weighing a total of 1.8 kilograms.

Legal procedures were carried out against the detained individual, and the seized drugs were handed over to the competent judicial authority."
