What Is Happening with Riad Salameh Inside Roumieh Prison?

Information from MTV website indicates that former Central Bank of Lebanon governor Riad Salameh is refusing to take his medications while in Roumieh Prison.

The sources added that the General Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Judge Ahmad Rami Al-Hajj, has given an open mandate to two doctors—one from the Internal Security Forces and another being Salameh’s personal physician—to examine him whenever necessary, noting that Salameh’s health condition is stable and he is only experiencing minor fluctuations in blood pressure.

The sources told our website: "The judiciary has taken all required measures to secure Riad Salameh’s medical condition and prepared a room for him equipped with everything he might need, including an oxygen generator, and documented this in audio and video," pointing out that "the General Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Judge Ahmad Rami Al-Hajj, will refer Salameh’s file to the Public Prosecution Appeal Court in Beirut."

MTV also reported that Judge Ahmad Rami Al-Hajj will hold a press conference this evening or tomorrow morning, during which he will present details of Salameh’s detention along with documents and photographs regarding his health status.
