Lebanese Social Security Fund Board Chairman Bashar al-Asmar announced after meeting with President Joseph Aoun at the head of a delegation that "we briefed the president on the new launch of the Social Security Board's activities, the effort to increase benefits, and the transition from end-of-service compensation to a pension system," emphasizing "our goal is to restructure benefits for those who left work between 2019 and 2024, expand the coverage of social security to include new groups, and advance digitalization."
