White House Extends Official Invitation to Lebanese President Aoun for Washington Visit
The White House has formally invited Lebanese President Michel Aoun to visit Washington and meet with President Donald Trump on July 21, 2026.

The Lebanese Embassy in Washington announced that the White House has issued an official invitation to President Michel Aoun to visit the U.S. capital and hold talks with President Donald Trump on July 21, 2026.
The embassy stated that this invitation reflects the strong partnership between Lebanon and the United States and provides an opportunity for both presidents to discuss issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, regional security, and the ongoing American support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity, and state institutions.
It added, "This visit follows an intensive period of diplomatic efforts by the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, conducted in close coordination with the Lebanese Presidency and senior officials within the U.S. administration, aimed at enhancing high-level bilateral dialogue and facilitating the arrangements that led to this official visit."
The embassy also noted that it is currently coordinating all aspects of the president’s visit in close cooperation with the Lebanese Presidency, the White House, and the U.S. State Department to ensure the success of the bilateral meeting.
