White House Invites Lebanese President Aoun to Visit Washington

A White House official announced on Wednesday that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has been invited to visit the United States on July 21.

This invitation follows the signing of a framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon in Washington last month, according to Reuters.

The agreement was signed after several days of talks mediated by the United States, aiming to end hostilities between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militants.
