A fully equipped catering facility, a gift from Germany, was inaugurated at the Beirut naval base for the Lebanese army.

A new, fully equipped catering facility was inaugurated at the Beirut naval base, a gift from the German government to the Lebanese army. The ceremony was attended by German Deputy Ambassador to Lebanon Yasmin Raya, Brigadier General Rodolphe Heikel representing the army commander, and a number of other officers.
During the event, Brigadier General Amin al-Qa'ei, Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, read a letter of thanks on behalf of General Heikel and presented it to Raya. He praised Germany's role and its continued support for the army, stating that "this project will enhance the logistical capabilities of the military institution."
