The Israeli Army announced that it "destroyed two Hezbollah tunnels with a total length of approximately 2 km in the Al-Qantara area, using over 450 tons of explosives."
Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said: "More than 30 living and preparation rooms were found inside the two tunnels, in addition to approximately 30 operational shafts. One of the tunnels was recently used by elements of Hezbollah's Radwan Force to carry out operations against Israel and its citizens, as the tunnel posed a direct threat to the citizens of Israel and the Israeli Army."
In recent weeks, forces from the 36th Division carried out a wide-ranging operation to uncover and destroy underground tunnels built by the terrorist Hezbollah in the Al-Qantara area, southern Lebanon, with direct assistance and guidance from the terrorist Iranian regime.
The forces carried out an attack towards the Al-Qantara area, and found two tunnels with a total length of approximately 2 kilometers, at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the border. These tunnels are considered part of an underground infrastructure network that was uncovered in Operation Arrows of the North and destroyed in the areas of Rab El Thalatheen and Mays Al-Jabal.
Inside the tunnels, the forces found large quantities of combat means, living and preparation rooms, water tanks, and various equipment for long-term stay. These tunnels were used by elements of the terrorist Hezbollah solely for living, as approximately 10 bedrooms containing beds were found inside one of the tunnels. Openings were also discovered inside the tunnels connecting them to sites containing launch platforms directed towards Israel.
The "shelter cities" belonging to the terrorist Hezbollah were built over approximately a decade, dozens of meters underground, with funding from the terrorist Iranian regime, and as part of the terrorist Hezbollah's plan aiming at what it calls the occupation of the Galilee.
