Diplomatic sources say a Pakistan deal is expected before Trump's China visit, with arms control a fixed clause in any agreement.

A forthcoming agreement involving Pakistan is expected to be announced before U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to China, a development that would automatically impact the situation in Lebanon, according to diplomatic sources speaking to "Al-Jadeed".
The sources stressed that the clause on arms control is non-negotiable in any deal, whether between Washington and Tehran or between Lebanon and Israel. They added that serious negotiations on the terms of a Lebanese-Israeli agreement will only begin after Israel completes its mission in southern Lebanon.
According to the same sources, the Israeli army's task is to sweep the area south of the Litani River and destroy Hezbollah's infrastructure. Once that is accomplished, negotiations with Lebanon on how to confine weapons north of the Litani can commence.
