Information from Al Jadeed TV channel reported "that there is no estrangement between Baabda Palace and Ain el-Tineh, and that a call took place between President of the Republic Joseph Aoun and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri yesterday, and the primary goal of the call was to fortify the internal situation, which is considered among the foremost concerns of the first and second presidencies."
It indicated that "communication channels between President Aoun and Berri remain open, with their understanding of each other's position on the issue of direct negotiation," revealing that "President Aoun is intensifying his contacts with the American administration, especially the American Foreign Ministry team, to pressure Israel to commit to a ceasefire."
