Afra Saraçoğlu breaks silence on cocaine found in her hair sample, citing passive exposure and negative blood tests.

Afra Saraçoğlu has issued a statement following the detection of cocaine in a hair sample taken during a narcotics investigation led by the Bakırköy Public Prosecutor's Office. The actress denied using illegal substances, suggesting the finding resulted from passive exposure or contact.

Authorities collected blood, hair, and urine samples from Saraçoğlu as part of the probe into celebrities. Forensic analysis at the Council of Forensic Medicine confirmed the presence of cocaine in her hair, while blood and urine tests returned negative results.
Saraçoğlu stated that she cut short an overseas trip and returned to Turkey upon learning about the investigation. She emphasized cooperation with judicial authorities throughout the process. Searches conducted at her residence yielded no illegal substances or criminal evidence.
The actress expressed surprise at the hair analysis outcome. She noted that experts informed her hair strands are susceptible to external factors. Citing her profession, which involves attending crowded events, Saraçoğlu argued the positive result could stem from unintentional passive exposure or physical contact.
She pointed to the clean blood and urine results as proof of non-use. "The fact that my blood and urine are clean already confirms that I am not a user," Saraçoğlu said.
Saraçoğlu apologized for occupying public attention with this matter. She reiterated her strong opposition to illegal substance use and stated it has no place in her life. The actress also thanked the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command units and judicial authorities involved in the proceedings.
