Beyoncé, daughters open Knowles-Rowland House in Houston
Beyoncé and her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi attended the opening of the Knowles-Rowland House in Houston on Tuesday.

A rare public outing for Beyoncé took place in Houston on Tuesday (October 13), where she appeared alongside her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter. The group gathered to celebrate the opening of the Knowles-Rowland House, a facility located in the singer’s hometown of Texas.
Attire and family presence
The 45-year-old entertainer, known for hits like “Love On Top,” wore a tan dress that hugged her figure during the event. Her daughter Blue, aged 14, opted for a green jersey top paired with gray jeans and dark heels. Rumi, who is 9 years old, dressed in a black cardigan featuring white trim over a black dress.
Supporting the family at the ceremony were Beyoncé’s mother, Ms. Tina Knowles, and Kelly Rowland, a longtime close friend of the family. It remains unclear whether Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, or their son Sir, also 9, attended the gathering, as neither was seen on stage.
Housing facility details
Community members joined the women on stage to officially launch the Knowles-Rowland House. This permanent supportive housing facility consists of 31 units. The property underwent redevelopment following damage sustained from Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
This appearance by Blue Ivy follows her debut at the Met Gala in May, where she walked alongside her famous parents at the high-profile event.
