Brooke Hogan addressed backlash after posting a bikini photo in a tribute to her late father, Hulk Hogan, rejecting accusations of seeking attention.

On May 22, 2026, Brooke Hogan responded to criticism following her Instagram tribute to her late father, Hulk Hogan, which included a bikini photo. She challenged those who labeled the image a “thirst trap” and defended her right to post it without judgment.
Brooke Hogan shared a carousel of images mourning her father, with the first photo showing her in a bikini. Despite the post’s somber caption and context, many viewers criticized the choice of image, calling it a “thirst trap.”
Two days after the initial post, Brooke addressed the backlash directly. She wrote that if she had intended to create a “thirst trap,” it would have been obvious, and questioned whether her body type or profession would change people’s reactions. Her response included edited photos showing different body types wearing the same bikini.
She explained, “I grew up in swimsuits. I understand that not a lot of the world gets that. But this is my home. This is me. This is my one of many days I grieved my dad. Shame on anyone for demonizing it.” Brooke added that she and her father were human and criticized those who presumed to know her experience with him, calling out anonymous critics as “trolls.”
Within the tribute post, Brooke also reflected on her relationship with Hulk Hogan. She stated, “I know he loved me, and I loved him. I think more than anyone ever did,” but noted that in recent years, “he lost sight of this.”
She further emphasized that she was not required to explain her personal loss to those unfamiliar with her experience, writing, “I am not obligated to explain to ignorant people who haven’t walked in my shoes – how I lost my dad – before I lost my dad.”
