Carole Radziwill Reveals Fan Pressure Drove Her Unexpected RHONY Comeback
Carole Radziwill admits she had no plans to return to Real Housewives of New York until fan support and a surprise appearance shifted her perspective.

Carole Radziwill’s recent decision to rejoin the Real Housewives of New York franchise was not part of any long-term strategy. The journalist revealed in a new interview with Us Weekly that she had completely disengaged from the series after departing in 2018, having appeared on Seasons 5 through 10. She stated she possessed “no inclination to return” and admitted she stopped following the show entirely during her years away.
The Turning Point at BravoCon
The dynamic changed when Radziwill made a surprise appearance as a mystery guest on Watch What Happens Live in the summer of 2025. This marked her first time on the network in seven years. While she anticipated disappointment from viewers regarding the reveal, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Support continued to build during BravoCon, where fans directed significant “love and good energy” toward her.
Agent-Limited Discussions
Radziwill credited this enthusiasm with essentially “manifesting” her comeback. Despite the growing interest, she kept negotiations for Season 16 strictly private. She confirmed that her agent was the sole person she communicated with regarding the potential return, limiting external discussion throughout the process.
Reconciling With Andy Cohen
Host Andy Cohen played a supportive role in her transition back to the screen, encouraging her to “have fun” and “be yourself.” This interaction followed a period of reconciliation between the two, as Radziwill later detailed how they repaired their previously strained friendship. She also noted that the environment within the Real Housewives world has evolved since her initial tenure, specifically citing increased pressure on cast members’ social media presence.
