Egyptian Beauty Queen Irene Yousry Reports Harassment by Stalker

Threats and harassment have escalated for Irene Yousry, crowned Miss Egypt 2025, since she entered the acting world. The beauty queen and actress has gone public with her ordeal, stating she has been followed and menaced by a man she identifies only as “Bilal.”

Yousry detailed the situation on her official Instagram account. “My life is in danger,” she wrote. “This is the first time I’ve written like this. I always guarded my privacy, but when it reached the point of threatening my life, my future, and the people around me, I could not stay silent.”

According to Yousry, the harassment began immediately after she won the Miss Egypt title and started her first dramatic role. She described the stalker’s behavior as delusional, saying he imagined himself as a character from the series she was working on. “He started following me, writing very strange comments, and living in a fantasy,” she explained.

The situation escalated when the man began tracking her location. Yousry stated he would appear at places she was visiting, carrying a ring he claimed was their wedding band. He also photographed himself near her car and threatened that anyone who approached her would be harmed.

The stalking did not stop there. Yousry reported that Bilal physically assaulted her driver and began frequenting her workplace at a clinic and hospitals. This created significant problems and left her afraid to go out in public. “There are witnesses to what’s happening, but he flees as soon as people gather,” she said. “We can’t take quick action or call the police. This has gone on for months, until he started threatening anyone close to me. The people around me are scared, and my driver quit his job after being attacked.”

In a further step, Yousry reposted an image on Instagram showing the man’s identification card. The document, she indicated, lists him as a registered refugee with the UN refugee agency and states he holds Sudanese nationality.

Who Is Irene Yousry?

Yousry graduated in 2021 and works as a dentist. She also holds a diploma in cosmetic dentistry. Her path to fame began in the pageant world, where she secured the Miss Egypt World 2025 title.

She recently entered the entertainment industry, appearing in the Ramadan 2026 drama series “Kolohom Beyhebo Mody” (They All Love Mody), starring actor Yasser Galal alongside other prominent artists.
