Gigi Hadid wore a sheer, braless Miu Miu gown to the 2026 Met Gala, but online critics called the look "boring" and said the "front looks really bad."

The supermodel embraced the "naked dress" trend in a floor-length, floral-embellished look that was sleeveless and backless, revealing her white underpants and going braless.

The shimmery black dress hugged Gigi's curves as she posed for photos. The see-through fabric featured crystal flame prints for a fiery finish, with silver accents highlighting her physique. The gown included an elegant train that concealed her heels, and she completed the look with a classic full face of makeup, including a rosy-red lip.
Gigi's choice to go braless afforded glimpses of cleavage and underboob, while the dress also flashed her abs. The look was a clear nod to the "naked dress" trend that has dominated Hollywood red carpets for several years, worn by celebrities such as Dakota Johnson, Emily Ratajkowski, and Bianca Censori.
Discussion on the social networking site Reddit quickly turned critical. "I'm really over the sheer dress look," one user commented. Another said, "Bloody hell, I thought we left the sheer dress/granny pants combo in the rearview!" A third user simply called the dress "boring."
More than 80 users agreed with a remark that read: "It's very boring, Gigi had some really good met looks before what is this." Another comment specifically targeted the front of the dress, stating that it "looks really bad."
This year's Met Gala, honoring the "Costume Art" theme, drew a massive celebrity crowd. Attendees included SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian, supermodel Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, tennis star Serena Williams, and actress Zendaya. Gigi Hadid made her Met Gala debut over ten years ago, in 2015.
