Harry denies William dig after GQ interview on family rift
A spokesperson for Prince Harry stated his recent comments about family reconciliation were not directed at Prince William or King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex’s remarks regarding a "complicated relationship" with the royal family sparked speculation that he was targeting Prince William. During a recent conversation with GQ, Harry noted that while he desires resolution, "some people don’t want it to work out." This statement prompted questions about whether it constituted a direct criticism of his brother or father.
Spokesperson addresses comment intent
A representative for the Sussexes clarified the situation by telling PEOPLE that the prince’s words were "absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family." The spokesperson emphasized that Harry shared these thoughts in a "general context and was not directed at his family in any way."
In the same interview, the author of "Spare" described the family dispute as a "massively relatable issue" for many individuals. He suggested that observers might wonder how he manages such complex dynamics, adding that he himself would like to understand how others navigate similar situations.
Despite acknowledging that some parties may resist reconciliation, Harry expressed a personal desire to mend ties. "With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point," he stated during the discussion.
Current status of royal relations
A source familiar with the duke’s situation indicated that his connection with King Charles has improved. However, this individual confirmed that Harry and Prince William remain in "no contact."
