British media outlets reported on Sunday that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, are scheduled to conduct their first joint public visit to the United Kingdom next week. This trip follows their return to the country in late August after a six-year period of relative seclusion from the spotlight while residing in the United States.

Nottingham Visit Details

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel to Nottingham in central England on Thursday. According to reports including those from the "Sunday Times," this city holds significance as the location of their initial public appearance following their engagement. The couple arrived in Britain accompanied by their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Charitable Work and Royal Status

Meghan continues to manage her personal brand. On Sunday, she posted an image on Instagram showing herself drinking tea with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai to mark International Day of the Girl Child. The couple departed Britain previously due to tensions with the royal family, which no longer assigns them official duties. Following their recent return, Buckingham Palace clarified that any charitable activities they undertake would be performed in a private capacity.

Planned Activities and Holiday Plans

In Nottingham, the pair’s primary engagements involve visits to three local organizations. As detailed by the "Sunday Times," these groups support youth through music, cinema, and sports initiatives while also working to combat poverty. A source close to Harry and Meghan told the newspaper that the couple will not receive an invitation to the traditional Christmas gathering at King Charles III’s Sandringham estate in eastern England. Instead, they intend to spend the end-of-year holidays in the United States.
