Anne Hathaway gave Tom Cruise's new film Digger a perfect rating on Letterboxd, calling it brilliant despite its poor opening weekend performance.

Anne Hathaway has posted her inaugural review on the platform Letterboxd, offering high praise for Tom Cruise’s latest cinematic effort. The 43-year-old actress awarded the film, titled Digger, a full five-star rating.
The movie, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, arrived in theaters last weekend. It faced mixed reception from critics and suffered a significant financial setback during its opening days. Reports indicate the production could result in losses of up to $200 million for Warner Bros.
Hathaway described the experience as exceptional in her written assessment. "I loved this brilliant movie," she stated. She characterized the film as smart, trippy, aggressive, funny, and ambitious. Her review encouraged viewers to allocate time to watch it and form their own conclusions.
"For me? 10/10," she added, emphasizing her personal endorsement of the project.
This public support comes ahead of a professional partnership between the two actors. Following a period of work hiatus after giving birth to her third child, Hathaway is scheduled to begin filming the sequel to Days of Thunder. She will star alongside Cruise in this upcoming production.
In Digger, Cruise portrays a powerful oil tycoon who prepares for a major ecological disaster. The narrative includes two substantial twists that alter the viewer's understanding of the story.
