An insider claims Britani Bateman was hurt by Heather Gay's mocking comments on RHOSLC, which Gay defended on WWHL.
Criticism has mounted against Heather Gay following her remarks about castmate Britani Bateman during a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. An insider stated that Bateman felt wounded after Gay questioned her findings regarding Bronwyn Newport’s residence.
The conflict originated from an investigation into the ownership status of Bronwyn’s home. Bateman, who works as a realtor, retrieved the property deed and presented the records to both Gay and Whitney Rose. She noted that Bronwyn’s name was absent from the document.
This finding contradicted earlier statements made by Bronwyn, who claimed she had met with her estranged husband, Todd Bradley, to sign paperwork for selling the property. In a confessional segment reported by Reality Blurb, Gay reacted by labeling Bateman “Inspector Gadget” and questioning whether she grasped the full context of the situation.
A source told Reality Blurb that the insults appeared sudden to Bateman. “Heather insulting Britani on last night’s RHOSLC seemingly came out of the blue,” the insider said. The source added that Bateman considered Gay a friend and believed Gay had previously supported her.
The insider expressed disapproval of Gay’s decision to criticize Bateman after hearing the evidence she gathered. Furthermore, the source pointed to Gay’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live, noting that while she had a chance to mitigate her stance, she instead “doubled down on it.”
“This definitely was hurtful to Britani,” the source claimed. They also speculated that jealousy might have influenced Gay’s reaction, suggesting she may have disliked Bateman taking credit for uncovering significant information. However, this motive was offered only as speculation.
As of the report, Bateman had not issued a public response to Gay’s televised comments. The current friction stems from the broadcast remarks and the insider’s account of their impact. New episodes of RHOSLC air Wednesdays on Bravo, where further interactions between the two women may clarify the feud.
