During a conversation with Lisa Kudrow for Variety’s Actors on Actors, Aniston reminisced about the many notable guest stars on Friends, including Brad Pitt, who appeared as Will Colbert in the 2001 Thanksgiving episode. She remarked on how nervous these movie stars were during their appearances, listing names such as Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, and Isabella Rossellini alongside Pitt.

An insider explained that Aniston did not consider mentioning Pitt controversial, viewing her comments as a sign that she had moved past their publicized divorce. However, the same source noted that Curtis perceived the situation differently.

“It’s been a surprising source of tension because Jen sees it as healthy and mature, while Jim thinks some relationships are better left in the past,” the insider said. The source added that Curtis denies feeling jealous, though joked that Brad Pitt is someone who could easily provoke such feelings.

Aniston and Pitt were married in 2000 and divorced in 2005 after nearly five years together. Despite moving on with their lives and careers, public interest in their relationship has persisted.
