Kim Kardashian details family travel dining habits on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Kim Kardashian revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that daughter North West tries exotic foods abroad, while her younger children prefer familiar fast food.

During a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” available via YouTube, Kim Kardashian detailed the divergent dining habits of her children when traveling internationally. The reality television figure explained that while her older daughter, North West, readily samples local cuisine, her younger kids remain difficult to please with unfamiliar dishes.
Travel Dining Habits Explained
Kimmel initiated the discussion by noting Kardashian’s tendency to visit McDonald’s locations in every country she visits. He specifically asked if she had patronized the chain during a trip to China. “Of course, we did,” Kardashian confirmed, attributing the choice to the challenges of managing jet-lagged children.
The host pressed further, questioning whether this was the sole motivation for the fast-food stops. Kardashian clarified that her younger children have a strong preference for rice and edamame. “There’s only so many times I can eat that,” she stated, adding that some kids simply refuse to venture out and try new foods.
She highlighted North West as an exception to this pattern. “I have one kid that eats extremely adventurous no matter where we go,” Kardashian said. She noted that North is willing to try anything ranging from squid to various types of sushi. Conversely, Kardashian observed that “the little kids are a little harder” when they are in Japan. In those instances, mentioning McDonald’s ensures everyone gets fries and remains content.
Global Menu Variations
When Kimmel inquired about how McDonald’s offerings in China compared to other regions, Kardashian pointed out that chicken nuggets vary significantly from country to country. Her experience in Africa involved sticking to apple pies, which she enjoys sampling wherever she travels. However, due to her fluctuating vegan diet, she opted out of the pies during that specific trip and chose fries instead.
The conversation shifted to Kardashian’s wellness routine. “I eat McDonald’s and then I try to do all my wellness stuff,” she admitted. When Kimmel suggested she might be being “bamboozled for money,” she countered that there is “real science behind it.” She also disclosed that she takes numerous supplements daily, striving to eat cleanly and maintain a workout regimen.
Kardashian drew a humorous parallel between her health devices and fast-food equipment. She described one of her red light therapy tools as resembling “the lamp that’s over the chicken McNuggets at McDonald’s.” Recalling a time she wore the gloves, neck piece, and face mask before driving her children to school, she noted their curiosity about whether she drove with the gear on. Consequently, she now performs her treatments after drop-off, on the way home.
