L’Oréal Paris runway features Arab stars and Celine Dion finale

The L’Oréal Paris beauty brand hosted a fashion show in Paris to launch the Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Week. The event took place on Monday evening at Place du Trocadéro, situated near the illuminated Eiffel Tower. The runway featured a diverse lineup of cinema, music, and fashion stars, culminating in a surprise appearance by pop icon Celine Dion as the guest of honor.

Arab actresses steal the spotlight

Egyptian actress Yasmine Sabri and Saudi actress Aseel Omran represented the region on the catwalk. Their participation highlighted the growing presence of Arab celebrities within the French brand’s global events. Sabri wore a long, fiery red dress featuring a cape cut and bare shoulders. The gown was cinched at the waist, paired with matching red heels. She accessorized minimally with delicate earrings and a ring, leaving her hair down over her shoulders. Her makeup emphasized her eyes, complemented by red lipstick that matched the dress color.

Omran opted for a distinct look in a long, shimmering gold dress. The outfit featured an off-the-shoulder design adorned entirely with sparkling details and embroidery. She completed the ensemble with open-toed burgundy sandals. The Saudi actress kept the rest of her styling simple, wearing earth-toned makeup with brown eyeshadow and nude lipstick while keeping her hair loose.

Global ambassadors join the parade

Indian actress Aishwarya Rai added another international dimension to the show. She wore a dramatic black velvet dress accompanied by a transparent cape embellished with shiny details, designed by Syrian designer Yara Shoukair. Rai drew attention with a change in hair color to red and a crown placed on her head, reinforcing the dramatic theme of her appearance.

American model Kendall Jenner opened the presentation in a long, sheer black Mugler dress. The tight-fitting gown featured a high neckline and a slit extending up the leg, styled with thin-heeled shoes and an updo hairstyle. Other attendees included American actress Eva Longoria, American actress Jane Fonda, German-American model and TV host Heidi Klum, and British model Karla Delevigne. These figures, along with other names from film and fashion, presented varied looks dominated by evening gowns in red, gold, and black.

Celine Dion closes the event

Canadian singer Celine Dion concluded the show with a surprise performance. She walked onto the stage to sing "I’m Alive," wearing a black velvet dress with bare shoulders. She accessorized with jewelry from the French house Boucheron. Dion is currently in Paris for a series of concerts and served as a L’Oréal Paris ambassador in 2019.

L’Oréal Paris operates as the largest brand within the L’Oréal group, reaching approximately 600 million consumers according to the company. It contributed significantly to the group's growth during the first half of the year. Letitia Toubet, the global brand president, attributed this success largely to new hair care products growing four times faster than the market average. She also cited best-selling cosmetics such as the Infallible 3-Second Setting Spray.
