Did medical negligence contribute to singer Soner Olgun's death?
Özlem Koldaş alleges uninvestigated blood sugar spikes and calls for review of Soner Olgun's pancreatic cancer treatment timeline.

Özlem Koldaş, the former spouse of late artist Soner Olgun, has requested an official investigation into his medical care, alleging that significant changes in health data were not properly examined. Speaking on a television program, Koldaş stated her belief that potential doctor negligence occurred during the treatment process.
Alleged oversight in blood sugar management
Koldaş claimed that Olgun’s blood sugar levels rose sharply over a short period, leading to insulin administration without a thorough inquiry into the underlying cause. She asserted that her own research into the medical records led her to suspect professional error, remarking, “We lost a lot of time.”
Cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy duration
According to Koldaş, tests conducted at the surgical stage revealed that the cancer had metastasized to distant areas and was already in the fourth stage. She noted that Olgun underwent approximately one and a half years of chemotherapy, describing the treatment as severe.
The 67-year-old singer passed away on October 16 due to pancreatic cancer. Koldaş is now seeking clarification on whether different examinations could have been performed earlier to alter the progression of the disease.
