Meghan Trainor’s New Bob Surprises Family Except Husband

On June 18, Meghan Trainor shared a video capturing her unveiling a new short hairstyle to her family, marking a shift from her usual long blonde hair. The singer appeared both excited and nervous as she approached her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, to show off the change.

Sabara’s reaction was immediate and positive, expressing surprise before complimenting the fresh look, which seemed to reassure Trainor. The couple then shared an embrace following his response.

However, other family members were slower to notice the haircut. Trainor humorously expressed disbelief when some failed to recognize the significant difference, emphasizing how much hair she had cut off in the video.

She then involved her children—sons Riley and Barry, and baby daughter Mikey Moon—in the reveal. Barry initially did not identify the change, only realizing after several hints that his mother’s hair was different.

Trainor credited celebrity hairstylist Anyssa Maciel, based in Los Angeles, for the new look in the Instagram post caption. She wrote, “I got a mom bob and only @darylsabara noticed bahaha thank you @stylebymaciel I love it so much!”

Just days before this reveal, Trainor had shared images from Sabara’s 34th birthday party, where she still sported her long blonde hair, making the recent cut more surprising to fans.

Despite the mixed reactions at home, Sabara’s approval appeared to be the most meaningful to Trainor, indicating the new hairstyle already has a supporter in her household.
