Melissa Gorga Apologizes to Giudice After 20-Year RHONJ Feud
Melissa Gorga apologized to Teresa Giudice during the RHUGT finale, resolving a two-decade conflict over casting decisions while maintaining her stance on the original dispute.

A long-standing rift between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice reached a tentative resolution during the supersized RHUGT: Roaring 20th finale at Bluestone Manor. While Gorga delivered an apology that Giudice had awaited for years, she simultaneously issued a reality check regarding the specific circumstances of her initial casting on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The Finale Confrontation Explained
Bravo reported that host Andy Cohen facilitated a private discussion between the two women as Season 15 approached. Cohen identified Gorga’s 2011 entry into RHONJ as the primary catalyst for the feud, which also involved Joe Gorga. Giudice maintained that Gorga joined the series “behind [her] back,” a claim Gorga contested by recalling she had informed Giudice of her intent to audition and received a “good luck” text in response.
Giudice firmly rejected Gorga’s account. “Absolutely not. She did not text me before the audition. No f–kin’ way,” Giudice stated. She further clarified that Bravo had contacted her directly and that she never desired to film a reality show alongside her family members. Following a review of archival footage depicting years of familial tension, Cohen offered his own regret. “I’m sorry that you had that experience,” he said. Giudice responded, “Thank you for saying that. That meant a lot to me.”
Apology and Final Point
Gorga then addressed Giudice directly, acknowledging the seniority of Giudice’s role on the franchise. “I know that you felt like you were here first — and you were — and it was your thing,” Gorga said. “And then, I took an opportunity that they offered me. And I apologize to you.” She reiterated that she would always recognize Giudice’s prior presence on the show.
Although Giudice accepted the apology and indicated she had moved past the conflict, Gorga insisted the burden of letting go lay with Giudice. “I don’t need to let it go; you do,” Gorga stated. The interaction concluded with a hug, during which Giudice promised, “I swear to you, I will never put the kids through this again.” Gorga expressed hope that their reconciliation would endure.
Post-Show Reflections
Reality Blurb later reported that Giudice discussed the encounter on Watch What Happens Live. “I accept the apologies, so thank you so much. I was like, ‘Wow, it took 20 years,’” she said. Giudice admitted she had been tipsy during the finale and did not fully recall the exchange taking place. She described her RHUGT sisterhood as the season’s “rose,” while noting that being away from Luis Ruelas and her children served as the “thorn.”
Giudice also identified RHONJ Season 1 as her favorite and noted her excitement about reuniting with Jacqueline Laurita. Prior to the finale, Giudice had stated, “Melissa and I are in a good place.” This reconciliation is expected to carry forward into RHONJ Season 15.
