Palace Prepares for Prince Harry’s Upcoming UK Visit with Careful Planning
Preparations are underway at the palace for Prince Harry’s visit to the UK, with careful attention to security and public appearances amid his non-working royal status.

Preparations at the palace are reportedly in progress ahead of Prince Harry’s anticipated arrival in the UK, with plans for a royal welcome under close consideration. A source indicated that the institution is approaching the visit with caution, mindful of its relationship with the Duke of Sussex, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020.
Palace Oversees All Aspects of Harry’s Visit, According to Insider
The Duke of Sussex may be accompanied by Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during the upcoming trip. Sources speaking to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice revealed that the palace intends to manage every element of Harry’s arrival meticulously, including transportation and any public engagements, which are to be “carefully considered.”
Security arrangements for Harry have also been a subject of discussion. Previous reports stated that he would not be granted state-funded protection due to his status as a former working royal. The legal framework governing this, RAVEC, reportedly limits King Charles’s authority over the matter.
Despite this, the palace is said to be cautiously weighing security provisions for Harry and his family. A palace insider emphasized that such careful planning is not an act of pettiness but a measure to safeguard the institution. They noted, “William and Catherine represent the Crown. Harry and Meghan do not. The Palace can’t blur that line, even for a day.”
Consequently, the specifics of Harry’s visit are expected to involve negotiations. A spokesperson for the Sussexes told Newsweek that Harry is exploring “every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK.” The Duke is reportedly determined to bring his children to reconnect with their grandfather.
