Pawn Stars Star Rick Harrison Undergoes Emergency Bypass After Stent Complication

Emergency coronary bypass surgery became necessary for Rick Harrison, 61, after physicians detected an unforeseen cardiac issue while performing a routine stent procedure. The reality television personality is now in recovery, according to a family representative.

Recovery and family support

A representative for the Harrison family told TMZ that Rick is doing well and remains optimistic about achieving full recovery. He expressed gratitude for the medical care provided by doctors and hospital staff. His wife, Angie, and other relatives have stayed with him continuously throughout the recovery period.

Recent marriage and celebrations

Harrison married Angie, a Las Vegas-based nurse, earlier this year. The couple wed on January 3 at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. They later hosted a celebration at Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern — a restaurant he owns near the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. At the time, they told People: “We are so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife and celebrate with friends and family in Las Vegas, and also at our wedding later this month. It has been such an adventure already, and we are looking forward to all of it.”

Rick Harrison has been married multiple times. He divorced Deanna Burditt in 2020, approximately seven years after their marriage. Earlier spouses include Kim Harrison, mother of his sons Adam and Corey; Tracy Harrison, with whom he shares a son, Jake; and Amanda Palmer, his fourth wife.

“Pawn Stars” history and upcoming return

Harrison rose to national prominence through the History Channel’s reality series “Pawn Stars,” which debuted in 2009. The show documented daily operations at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. It entered hiatus in 2025. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the series is scheduled to resume in early 2027.
