Raven-Symoné to Join The View Panel for 30th Season Milestone

A milestone celebration marks the return of Raven-Symoné to “The View.” The former co-host is scheduled to join the panel for two days, with appearances also planned on the show’s companion podcast alongside her wife, Miranda Maday.

Podcast Appearance With Wife

People exclusively reported that Symoné will appear on “The View” on Oct. 15 and 16. She joins Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin at the Hot Topics table as the ABC talk show celebrates its 30th season.

The couple will also feature on “Behind the Table,” the show’s companion podcast. Symoné and Maday additionally co-host “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda.”

Former Co-Hosts Returning

Symoné is one of several former co-hosts returning for the 30th anniversary celebrations. Since the season began in September, original co-hosts Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulos, along with Lisa Ling and Sherri Shepherd, have made guest appearances.

The “That’s So Raven” star first appeared on “The View” as a guest in June 2015 before joining the show as a co-host. She left in 2016 to work on “Raven’s Home,” a sequel to the popular sitcom in which she starred.

Past Comments on Experience

During a 2024 appearance on Sherri, Symoné joked about her time on the show. She stated that working on “The View” taught her “to shut the hell up.” “To like, not speak. If you have an opinion, keep it to yourself,” she told Shepherd before laughing and adding, “No, I’m just playing.”

She discussed how her perspective changed during her tenure on the panel. “When I started the show, I said, ‘I’m going to make this like I’m talking to my best friends in my house,’ ” she recalled. “When I left the show, I said, ‘That is a television show, live, with million people watching, that was not neighborhood conversation.’ ”

Symoné brings this experience with her as she reunites with her former colleagues.
