Reham Saeed appeals to Sisi over two-month media ban
Egyptian presenter Reham Saeed has appealed to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, arguing that a recent two-month ban on her and Yasmin Al-Khatib is unjust.

Egyptian media personality Reham Saeed has formally objected to a decision by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation prohibiting her and fellow presenter Yasmin Al-Khatib from appearing in all media outlets subject to the law for a period of two months. Saeed characterized the ruling as an act of "injustice" directed at both herself and her program.
Appeal to President El-Sisi
In a post published on her official account, Saeed stated that she sees no justification for holding her program responsible for a personal dispute between her and Al-Khatib. She emphasized that she had not discussed Al-Khatib through any media channel and questioned the legal basis for suspending her show due to a social media post.
Saeed directed a message to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, urging him to intervene. She expressed feelings of being subjected to injustice and smear campaigns, noting that repeated decisions have negatively impacted her professional career.
Impact on Career and Livelihood
The presenter highlighted that she has faced multiple suspensions throughout her career. She argued that these regulatory actions have affected her work and source of income. Saeed pointed out that she has been working in the media sector for approximately 30 years and asserted that her program adheres to established professional codes and regulations.
Council Investigation Details
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced the two-month ban on Thursday, October 1. The decision followed an investigation into mutual complaints filed by Saeed and Al-Khatib against each other. Authorities also cited the exchange of insults observed between the two presenters on social media platforms as part of the grounds for the penalty.
