At 36 years old, Lauren Bennett passed away on May 29 in England, with her father Richard Bennett recently sharing new information about her final months. He revealed that Lauren suffered a severe reaction to prescribed medication prior to her death.

Richard Bennett publicly addressed the circumstances surrounding the G.R.L. singer’s passing in an emotional statement on Instagram. He expressed deep disappointment with the medical professionals and NHS services, criticizing their treatment of Lauren during what he described as her “time of greatest need.” Despite these concerns, he clarified that the family holds no suspicions about the circumstances of her death.

The official cause of Lauren Bennett’s death remains unconfirmed as the Kent and Medway Coroner Service continues its investigation, which is expected to last until October 30, according to Entertainment Weekly.

In his statement, Richard Bennett also honored Lauren’s personality beyond her career, describing her as creative, funny, humble, and deeply loved by those around her. He requested privacy for the family as they continue to mourn.

Lauren Bennett rose to international fame through her vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 hit “Party Rock Anthem” and later as a member of G.R.L., which achieved success with tracks such as “Ugly Heart” and “Wild Wild Love.”

Following her death, Lauren’s former bandmates in G.R.L. paid tribute to her, recalling her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit. The group had previously experienced loss with the death of Simone Battle in 2014.

The family has asked fans to remember Lauren Bennett through her music, kindness, and the legacy she leaves behind.
