Security preparations for Taylor Swift’s wedding included specific plans addressing the potential arrival of Kanye West, sources reveal. The event’s organizers discussed the rapper’s possible attempt to attend uninvited during their security briefings.

Taylor Swift’s Team Prepared for Security Concerns

A source informed Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Swift’s team treated the possibility of West showing up as a genuine concern. “Security had a plan in place if Kanye showed up. His name came up repeatedly during planning meetings. They weren’t taking any chances,” the source stated.

Although the wedding proceeded without incident, security reportedly feared West might enter the venue. Another insider indicated the team worried the 49-year-old rapper could generate headlines at Swift’s expense. The planners aimed to ensure the event would be remembered as “her marriage, not some Kanye moment.”

Background of the Swift-West Feud

The conflict between Taylor Swift and Kanye West began at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech, claiming Beyoncé deserved the award more. The dispute intensified in 2016 after West released the song “Famous,” which included derogatory lyrics about Swift.

Swift publicly addressed the controversy, but tensions escalated when West’s then-wife, Kim Kardashian, released an edited recording of a phone call between Swift and West. This led to significant backlash against Swift and a period of seclusion. The following year, Swift released her album “Reputation,” and later evidence emerged showing she had not approved the song’s lyrics.
