Writer Accuses Ramadan of Plagiarizing Ashmawi Series Plot
Zain Metwally claims the plot for Mohamed Ramadan's new series "Ashmawi" was stolen from his 2008 registered script.

Mohamed Ramadan faces a significant controversy threatening his upcoming television project, "Ashmawi." The actor is preparing to return to Ramadan drama after a four-year absence. However, writer Zain Metwally has accused the production team of appropriating his original story concept.
Allegations of Script Theft
Metwally stated that he began developing the project in 2008 and officially registered it with Sawt El Qahera. He expressed surprise upon learning about the series announcement last July. According to the writer, the events and dramatic lines of the broadcast match his initial treatment closely.
Differences in Character Details
The author noted that discrepancies are limited to specific details. In his original narrative, the protagonist is a father of five daughters. In contrast, the character portrayed in the series appears as a father of three daughters. Metwally also revealed that the working title for the project was initially "Khalifa Azrael," inspired by the character "Friend of Azrael" found in his script.
