The upcoming Marvel film has surpassed $100 million in worldwide advance ticket sales, setting a new record ahead of its December release.

Advance ticket purchases for the next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have exceeded $100 million globally. This figure marks a significant milestone for Avengers: Doomsday, which remains more than two months away from its theatrical launch. The film features an extensive cast led by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
Strong interest is visible across various regions outside North America. In both Brazil and the United Kingdom, the movie achieved the fastest rate ever recorded for surpassing $1 million in pre-release sales. These international figures highlight the broad appeal of the superhero epic prior to its official debut.
Pre-sales activity began in July, leading to immediate spikes in consumer interest. By last month, domestic advance ticket sales reached $40 million. This occurred 100 days before the release date, establishing a first-of-its-kind achievement for any film in the North American market through advance purchases alone.
Current estimates indicate that Doomsday could generate over $1 billion worldwide during its initial weekend. Additionally, the film is positioned to exceed the North American opening weekend record held by Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which stands at $360 million.
High expectations among fans have led to bold forecasts regarding total revenue. Some predictions suggest the movie might reach $3 billion globally. If this occurs, it would surpass Avengers: Endgame as the highest-grossing MCU title.
However, the 2019 blockbuster retains its status as the top-grossing film of all time. A recent re-release, titled Endgame: Encore, has increased its worldwide total to $2.925 billion. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026. The ensemble also includes Chris Hemsworth, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Ian McKellen.
